Carbon fillers have been synthetized through process of electrochemical exfoliation of graphite in electrolytic solutions containing phosphorus. The exfoliation process leads to the formation of oxidized carbon particles with a significant variation of the graphitic structure. The as-obtained carbon fillers have been analyzed from the structural, morphological, chemical and thermal point of view. Moreover, commercial oxidized graphite has been chemically treated using the same solutions employed for the electrochemical process. The behavior of the treated carbon powders has been compared and results demonstrate that the combination of carbon fillers and phosphorus enhance the thermal resistance of the carbon filler itself. From results,it have been possible to select the most efficient treatment on carbon fillers and a superficial treatment applicable on textiles on industrial scale has been developed.

Abstract
From results,it have been possible to select the most efficient treatment on carbon fillers and a superficial treatment applicable on textiles on industrial scale has been developed.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
