The site is close to the railway station of Saint Christopher in Milan. Because of being isolated from the city by the railway in the north and the Canal Grande in the south, it is in a state of decay and neglect. The project builds up the connections of the railway station of Saint Christopher and Park Sud which provides the city with agricultural products. At the same time, the project creates the continuous landscape belt along the river Lambro. The goal of the design is to create a wetland combining various linear landscape elements landscape with strong identity which is distinguished from the existing city in surrounding. The buildings with unique typology are completely lifted up over the wetland. There are also green plants, fruits and vegetables planted on the overhanging slabs. The function of the buildings is mixed which contains restaurants, shops, gym, apartments for the elderly and students, etc. to make the site become an active and high-quality area for public in the future.
