The comparison between the AS-IS and the TO-BE processes in terms of costs and time has shown that the TO-BE process allows reaching a great improvement compared to the standard process, allowing to obtain a strong reduction of costs and time, for both the factoring company and its direct and indirect clients. The innovativeness and originality of the platform can be considered as a first step for BPER Factor to further improve its position in the market. The implementation of the digital onboarding and the possibility to digitally sign the documents through the digital signature solution is to be considered as one of the most important and distinctive aspects in the factoring market.

Abstract
The unavailability in the market of an online platform able to fulfil all the transactions between a factoring company and its clients has prompted BPER Factor to design, develop, and implement the platform WIP (Web Interactive Platform), with the main aim of improving the efficiency of the whole factoring process. Some inconsistencies occurred during the implementation of the application, such as the difficulty to perform all the operations directly through the platform. The first objective of the thesis work is related to the development of some new processes of the platform WIP. As a second step, the thesis work is aimed at overcoming the inconsistencies of the processes already present in the platform and describing how this was achieved through the implementation of corrective solutions. The methodology followed is based mainly on a comprehensive study of the factoring process and the expected steps of the same, the design of the AS-IS processes, the evaluation of their limits, the ability to overcome them, the design of the new process draft, and, finally, the drawing and the final implementation of the TO-BE processes. The comparison between the AS-IS and the TO-BE processes in terms of costs and time has shown that the TO-BE process allows reaching a great improvement compared to the standard process, allowing to obtain a strong reduction of costs and time, for both the factoring company and its direct and indirect clients. It would be useful to implement the same solution in several companies, in order to increase the level of detail and the number of comprehensive analyses available. The innovativeness and originality of the platform can be considered as a first step for BPER Factor to further improve its position in the market. The implementation of the digital onboarding and the possibility to digitally sign the documents through the digital signature solution is to be considered as one of the most important and distinctive aspects in the factoring market.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
