The aim of this thesis work is to find a solution to the thermal crack problem in grey cast iron discs brake for trucks and cars. Are proposed the eddy current sensors as method for thermal cracks detection, and is made a search for a simple and inexpensive solution to built a prototype. Through the simulations are made some analysis to understand the influence of some variables on impedence variation. The variables analysed are operating frequency, coil geometry, core shape and its permeability, flaw geometry and the distance beetwen coil and conductive target. Finally, on the simulation results, are deducted a usefull guidelines for sizing a coil in relation to a flaw to a certein length in order to have a good resolution.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
