In this Thesis is been modeled the PSA DV6 Diesel engine using Gasdyn 1D computational fluid dynamics software made by Politecnico di Milano internal combustion engine division, is been done also a comparison between the solutions obtained by Gasdyn and the engine test-bench experimental data obtained by a collaboration between Politecnico university and a French research group under the SIMBA project. On the DV6 engine model is been done an upgrade of the EGR system to test the possibility to adopt an EGR long route system instead to the already existing short route one. Subsequently starting from the existing engine scheme used like baseline is been built a two-stage turbo Diesel engine around it and some tests on the TST engine and Gasdyn attitude to manage it are been done.

Abstract
In this Thesis is been modeled the PSA DV6 Diesel engine using Gasdyn 1D computational fluid dynamics software made by Politecnico di Milano internal combustion engine division, is been done also a comparison between the solutions obtained by Gasdyn and the engine test-bench experimental data obtained by a collaboration between Politecnico university and a French research group under the SIMBA project. On the DV6 engine model is been done an upgrade of the EGR system to test the possibility to adopt an EGR long route system instead to the already existing short route one. Subsequently starting from the existing engine scheme used like baseline is been built a two-stage turbo Diesel engine around it and some tests on the TST engine and Gasdyn attitude to manage it are been done.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
