FAB-MI. Fine arts of Brera Milano. Un nuovo campus per l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera dentro il quartiere delle Milizie di via Mascheroni tra nuovo progetto e recupero dell'esistente

A new venue for the Academy. is discussion is inspired by a real need: the demand for new and functional spaces for the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, linked to the possibility of giving new identity to a military area, in close proximity to City Life in ongoing disposal. Brera is the neighborhood and the Academy, made of history, of walls, of stratifications and people, teachers and students, it’s simply made by artists in need, today more than ever, of a home that is not more representative for them, but simply broader to face with the ceaseless increasing number of students and with the new standards o ered by supranational competitors. FAB-Mi: Fine Arts of Brera - Milan is the project that try to give an answer to this need, that has emerged just over a century ago and characterized by multiple inconclusive attempts, through the interpretation of a space in the innervated in the urban fabric, but autonomous. The military rigor of efficiency and the independence of context turn into an urban crossing joined to a court system from which rise up the new flagship building. It’s able to relate to the existing historical putting them to a system, not denying anything of the past, but giving new utility and growth perspective. The ideas that transform the world pass thought art and beauty, the new campus is the active shell of this process thanks to its laboratories, where it produces, its external-internal art’s courtyards where is exposed, its multilevel paths through which can be crossed by anyone and by which it spread this message. The action moves between a component of the existing refurbishment and a new design whose guidelines are dictated by the highest criteria of efficiency that today's society imposes on environmental protection. NZEB: nearly zero energy building is the pivot around which the whole system revolves, a construction system capable of providing an active and low power consumption response to internal needs and external inputs. The energetic simulation in dynamic regime, the load match of energy, the study and the optimization of natural lighting and natural ventilation in the night hours, were the pursued objectives.

Una nuova sede per l’Accademia. La presente trattazione trae spunto da una necessità concreta: l’esigenza di spazi nuovi e funzionali per l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, coniugata alla possibilità di dare nuova identità ad un area militare, in prossimità di City Life, in progressiva dismissione. Brera è il quartiere ed è l’Accademia, fatta di storia, di muri, di stratificazioni e di persone, docenti e studenti, più semplicemente artisti che oggi più che mai necessitano non di una sede che sia loro più rappresentativa, ma semplicemente più ampia per far fronte al costante aumento di studenti ed ai nuovi standard o erti dai competitor sovranazionali. FAB–Mi: Fine Arts of Brera – Milano è il progetto che si occupa di dare una risposta a questa esigenza, delineatasi poco più di un secolo fa e caratterizzata da molteplici tentativi risolutivi venuti sempre meno, attraverso l’interpretazione di uno spazio innervato nel tessuto urbano, ma a sé stante. Il rigore dell’efficientismo militare e la sua indipendenza dal contesto si trasformano in un attraversamento urbano unito ad un sistema di corti dalle quali si erge la nuova sede, capace di relazionarsi con le preesistenze storiche mettendole a sistema senza nulla negare del passato, ma dando nuova utilità e prospettiva di crescita. Le idee che trasformano il mondo passano per l’arte e la bellezza, il nuovo campus è l’involucro attivo di questo processo grazie ai suoi laboratori, dove si produce, le sue corti d’arte esterne-interne dove si espone, i suoi percorsi multilivello mediante i quali farsi attraversare da chiunque e di ondere questo messaggio. L’intervento si muove tra una componente di recupero dell’esistente ed una di nuova progettazione le cui linee guida sono dettate dai più alti criteri di e cienza che la società d’oggi impone in materia di tutela ambientale. NZEB: nearly zero energy building è il perno attorno a cui tutto il sistema ruota, un sistema edilizio capace di fornire una risposta attiva ed a basso consumo di energia alle esigenze interne ed agli input esterni. Simulazione energetica in regime dinamico, pareggio di bilancio energetico, studio ed ottimizzazione dell’illuminazione naturale e ventilazione naturale notturna sono stati gli obbiettivi perseguiti.
