The Internet, as a tool of technology, has undoubtedly taken over many aspects of our everyday lives, as well as significant typological examples and forms: from a simple building systems, to the suburban office campuses that house large scale companies, such as Facebook and Google, to the modern monumental glass buildings of the Apple stores, that represent the consumerist wave of the century. The London Internet Museum is an attempt to merge the virtual world of internet, an abstract horizon of algorithms and technological systems, typologically unprecedented, together with the conventional museum typologies, that have the clear objective to expose and celebrate physical and cultural artefacts. The dichotomous connection between the two worlds was established by the project's ambition to inherit the characteristics of both sides and create an architectural language that justifies its aim through its shape and form, its direction and its character.
