Ciclovia della Brianza. Un percorso ciclabile nei parchi e nei residui naturali di un arcipelago metropolitano

The thesis presented proposes a reflection on the theme of Green infrastructure and how you can patch up parts of uneven territory. This course of action is proposed as a planning tool in large scale in order to recover, rediscover and give added value to the fragmented portions of land, encouraging the ecosystem cohesion and protection. The area under consideration is that of the Brianza in particular the portion that develops between the two large natural parks pass through by Lura and Lambro rivers. Along with these two great natural systems there are three more: the valley of the River Seveso, the Brughiera Briantea Park and finally, a residual of naturalness typical of this highly urbanized area that we define as “urban archipelago.” The thesis project involves the creation of a bike path that allows to reunite horizzontally this part of the territory, and fixed all the natural systems we have mentioned before. In addition, the cycle Môves reunites with two other bike paths: Eurovelo 5 (Brindisi - London) of European interest and the cycle 1 of the Lambro river valley. The bike path is not only a simple line drawn on the ground but it is a tool that allows you to edit and safeguard the territory through the landscape interventions aimed at the protection of the ecosystem even with the inclusion of the social and urban functions that such a fragmented territory needs. Finally the last part of this thesis is the design of a mechanical system that gives the possibility to overcome, through the use of the bicycle, steep sloapes that the collinary territory presents.

La tesi presentata propone una riflessione sulla tematica delle Green Infrastructure e su come sia possibile ricucire parti di territorio sconnesso. Questa linea di azione si propone come strumento di pianificazione a vasta scala al fine di recuperare, riscoprire e dare un valore aggiunto a porzioni di territorio frammentate, favorendo la coesione e la salvaguardia dell’ecosistema. L’area presa in esame è quella della Brianza in particolare la porzione che si sviluppa fra i due grandi parchi naturali percorsi dai fiumi Lura e Lambro. Insieme a questi due grandi sistemi naturali ve ne sono altri tre: la valle del fiume Seveso, il PLIS del Parco della Brughiera Briantea e, infine, un insieme di naturalità residue proprie di questo territorio fortemente urbanizzato che definiamo come “arcipelago metropolitano”. Il progetto di tesi prevede la creazione di una pista ciclabile che permetta di ricongiungere trasversalmente questa parte di territorio, ricucendo tutti i sistemi naturali che abbiamo citato prima. Inoltre la ciclabile Môves si ricongiunge con due altre piste ciclabili: la Eurovelo 5(Brindisi – Londra) di interesse europeo e la ciclabile n.1 della valle del fiume Lambro. La ciclabile progettata non è una semplice linea tracciata sul terreno ma è uno strumento che permettere di modificare e salvaguardare il territorio tramite interventi di paesaggio volti alla protezione dell’ecosistema con anche l’inserimento di quelle funzioni sociali e urbane che un territorio così frammentato necessita. Infine l’ultima parte di questa tesi è il progetto di un sistema meccanico che dia la possibilità di superare tramite l’utilizzo della bicicletta le forti pendenze che il territorio di tipo collinare presenta.
