Equivalent Static Wind load (ESWL) is a key instrument in the field of civil engineering, representing the point where structural and wind engineering researchers encounter. So far as the estimation of buffeting responses presents itself as a complex issue, researchers have put forward the concept of ESWL to address it. ESWL transfers the complex dynamic calculation into simple static analysis, and is accepted by most countries’/regions’ wind load codes/specifications. ESWL can be defined as that the responses produced by the static ESWL are equal or approximate to the responses produced by the real wind load. In this way, structural engineers are able to solve complex dynamic problems by using simple static analysis. Representing dynamic load in terms of equivalent static loads is particularly suitable for providing the design loads based on wind tunnel tests. The project aims at evaluating them in the case study of the Lusail Bridge, through data coming from experimental testing in wind tunnel and numerical simulation.

Abstract
The project aims at evaluating them in the case study of the Lusail Bridge, through data coming from experimental testing in wind tunnel and numerical simulation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
