SPIRE Milano. Progettazione di un grattacielo ad alta efficienza energetica come fulcro di un nuovo polo tecnologico all'interno del sito di Expo Milano 2015

The thesis “SPIRE Milano 2.0” deals with the planning of a skyscraper and the urban qualification of the former 2015 Milan Expo area; in addition, the management of the process through parametric models, resulting in an optimization of the structural and technologic elements. The project is not just an urban analysis, it is related to project details within the study of the skyscraper, which has to be the crucial point of the whole area. The investigation of the surroundings helped to give systematic answers, although the decision to build a tower is always arguable. This is our vision, we want to convert our skyscraper into a symbol, a landmark that distinguishes the entire neighborhood and that is the new development engine for the city of Milan. The skyscraper must emit modernity as well as progress, it will be technologic and eco-friendly at the same time, involving a green multi-thematic park and high energetic efficiency of the building. The parametric and integrated planning, through new softwares and methodologies, allowed us to face the complexity of the project, not only in this single case, but in general and in the approach for other planning project.

La tesi “SPIRE Milano 2.0”, tratta della progettazione di un grattacielo e della riqualificazione urbana dell’intera area dell’ex Expo Milano 2015, apportando come approfondimento la gestione del processo attraverso modelli parametrici da cui ne consegue l’ottimizzazione degli elementi strutturali e tecnologici. Il progetto non si limita ovviamente ad un’analisi urbanistica, ma entra nel dettaglio progettuale con lo studio del grattacielo, ipotizzato essere il punto nevralgico dell’intera area. L’analisi dell’intorno, a livello più ampio, è servita a fornire risposte sistematiche, nonostante l’inserimento di una torre sia sempre una scelta molto forte e pertanto discutibile. Questa la nostra vision, quella di far diventare il nostro grattacielo un landmark per il territorio che caratterizzi l’area e che diventi il nuovo propulsore di sviluppo della città di Milano. Il grattacielo dovrà ispirare modernità e progresso, sposare l’idea di tecnologia e rispetto per l’ambiente grazie al connubio tra il parco verde pluritematico e l’edificio ad alta efficienza energetica. La progettazione parametrica e integrata attraverso nuovi software e metodologie, ha permesso di affrontare la complessità del progetto, rivelandosi fondamentale per la gestione progettuale di questo edificio ma in generale un approccio efficace ed implementabile anche in altre situazioni progettuali.
