Today we are in an environment that faces with changes with every day. Most of scientists are calling our age as a “golden age” because of rapid improvements in terms of technology, environment and the unstable situation of the world because of several factors. This phenomena affects the rivalry level on every level of our life. Customer need is highly changing as a result of the dynamic environment, hence for the companies the increasing competition requires more flexible, innovator and rapid systems. In today’s changing world, it is crucial to have a suitable production control system in order to have competitive advantage. There are several production control policies and each of them has superiority or downfalls on each other. The decision of the right production control policy should be given according to the characteristics and objective of the existing system. In this study Kanban, CONWIP and POLCA production policies are analysed from literature point of view and their working mechanisms, design principles and important variables are explained. Furthermore; Kanban, CONWIP and POLCA mechanisms are applied on a semiconductor production case and the models of designs are explained. The results are compared and as performance parameters WIP Level, Lead Time, Reaction Time and Number of Cards are used. According to the results, the production policy should be chosen according to the demand, process, objectives and the feasibility of the system and according to that in the current case CONWIP gives best results above Kanban and POLCA production policies.
Oggi operiamo in un ambiente che deve affrontare cambiamenti quotidiani. Molti scienziati chiamano la nostra epoca come epoca d’oro per i rapidi cambiamenti in termini di tecnologia, ambiente e la situazione instabile a livello mondiale a causa di alcuni fattori. Questi fenomeni influenzano il livello di rivalità su ogni aspetto della nostra vita. Il bisogno del consumatore continua a cambiare come risultato di quest’ambiente dinamico. e da qui arriva la crescente competizione per le aziende che richiede sistemi più flessibili, innovative e rapidi. Nel dinamico mondo di oggi, é cruciale avere un adeguato sistema di controllo della produzione, per guadagnarsi un certo vantaggio competitivo. Ci sono diversi regolamenti per il controllo della produzione ed ognuno di questi ha la superiorità o inferiorità rispetto agli altri. La decisione del regolamento del controllo dei diritti di produzione deve essere data secondo le caratteristiche ed obbiettivi del sistema attuale. In questo studio le regolamentazioni riguardo a Kanban, Conwip e Polca sono applicate ad un caso di produzione di semiconduttori e sono spiegati diversi modelli di design. I risultati sono comparati e come parametri delle performance sono stati scelti il livello di WIP, il tempo di Lead, il tempo di reazione, ed il numero di carte utilizzate. Secondo I risultati, I regolamenti della produzione devono essere scelti a secondo della domanda, processo, obbiettivo e la realizzazione del sistema, e a proposito di quest’indice nel corrente caso di studio, Conwip da I migliori risultati sui regolamenti di produzione Kanban e Polca.
