Open Innovation strategy has come as a new way of doing innovation that has allowed the companies to rely not just into their internal research and development assets but also, they can exploit opportunities from outside and bring them inside the firm, therefore, challenging the not invented here syndrome and making the boundaries of the company permeable where ideas might come in and out of the company as needed. Electrolux Open Innovation Team is constantly exploring new ways to take advantage of this strategy, after six years of existence, they have been able to establish top class relationships with brokers and innovators around the world, where they have successfully scouted technologies from outside of the company. Nowadays they are exploring new potential collaboration frameworks that will allow them to better scout, screen and develop the technologies/business ideas by complementing the OI process with the necessary assets to be fully realized. In order to do so, this study will propose Service Design tools as a way to generate this new collaboration framework called Eluxhub, through a visual awakening process that will allow the OI team to expose existing gaps in the process and generate creative solutions visualization tools like the stakeholder’s map or the storyboard, focusing on the actors, the touchpoints and its relationships, therefore, designing the new step by step process for the Eluxhub project which is going to provide with new creative tools the OI team for future projects.
