Fault analysis during the design and eventual development of an automobile can become a highly complex and time consuming affair. Bugs that arise in the later stages of the development with roots in the early design stage are costlier and time consuming. They might affect time to market, thus costing money, time and labour. A tool which can help designers test for possible problems in the system at an early development stage can be greatly useful. Such a tool with application in the early stages of the design which can later be integrated with the development stage can drastically cut costs both in terms of time and labour. Bearing this in mind we analyze the possibility of developing analytical tools on a pre-existing piece of design software. Our aim is to test the viability of our analytical tool on this software. We chose Mechatronic Impact Analyzer, a design tool developed by Prozesswerk GmbH, as our base software.

Abstract
We chose Mechatronic Impact Analyzer, a design tool developed by Prozesswerk GmbH, as our base software.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
