Sovrapposizioni di segni per una nuova identità aggregativa del tessuto sociale. Gli interventi sulla chiesa abbandonata di San Bartolomeo in Vigellio

The idea was to integrate theory with the development of a "dossier of images" just to emphasize the option to create a story of the project. It represents an additional annex to the work of thesis and has the intention to offer the ability to "read the story" of an abandoned building. Through a sequence of images that bear witness to the continuing conflict between what was and what will be the church of San Bartolomeo, we have tried to shed light on aspects of the project and the potential of the building, already present in it. Images that deliberately, like painting pictures, leave a layer of undefined and at the same time becoming melancholy. The idea is to always bring to mind the "recall" of "what was." So then the "rubble" become "ruins" and "time" spent transforms the "memory" in "memory" for the community to Salussola. The story, then, becomes the image and the images are transformed into narrative. The case comes as a cross-reading of the thesis project, in which the critical reading intervention leads to reflection on the "Memory." The need we have today, even more than in the past, to transmit and to conserve the remains of the past, now only fragments in our territory, is the first goal for our work. By means of these images we were also highlighted interventions on built, emphasizing how it can be summarized in three main points: the terrace, the cover and finally the large central arch. Thanks to images, we also want to present how the dimensions and the quality of intervention work wiht an existing building: it is necessary, but at the same time, it will be non-invasive. The idea is to bring and emphasize the existing: thanks to a reactivation of the entire system in fact has tried to reintegrate the structure, now abandoned, in what can be considered a social network, not only the small community of Salussola, but also of the Biella system.

Si è pensato di integrare la tesi con lo sviluppo di un “dossier di immagini” proprio per enfatizzare la possibilità di “narrare” il progetto. Esso rappresenta un allegato aggiuntivo al lavoro svolto di tesi e ha l’intento di offrire la possibilità di “leggere la storia” di un edificio lasciato in abbandono. Tramite una sequenza di immagini che testimoniano la continua contrapposizione tra ciò che era e ciò che sarà la chiesa di San Bartolomeo, si è cercato di mettere in luce gli aspetti del progetto e le potenzialità del manufatto, già presenti in esso. Si tratta di affrontare da un lato immagini dirette di quanto studiato dall’esistente e dall’altro fornire differenti immagini, “zoom”, sulla nuova attivazione. Immagini che volutamente, come dei quadri pittorici, lasciano un velo di indefinito e al tempo stesso di malinconico divenire. L’idea è quella di portare sempre alla mente il “ricordo” di “quello che fu”. Ecco che allora le “macerie” diventano “rovine” ed il “tempo” passato trasforma il “ricordo” in “memoria” per la comunità di Salussola. Il racconto, dunque, diventa immagine e le immagini si trasformano in racconto. Il dossier si presenta come una lettura trasversale del progetto di tesi, in cui la lettura critica sull’intervento porta alla riflessione sulla “memoria”. La necessità che abbiamo oggi, ancor più che nel passato, di trasmettere e manu-tenere i resti del passato, ormai solo frammenti nel nostro territorio. Per mezzo di queste immagini inoltre sono stati messi in risalto gli interventi sul costruito, sottolineando come essi possano essere schematizzati in tre punti fondamentali: la terrazza, la copertura ed infine il grande arco centrale. Grazie alle immagini, inoltre si vuole evidenziare come gli interventi siano da intendersi necessari ma al tempo stesso non invasivi. L’idea che si mantiene di fondo è quella di portare e mettere in risalto l’esistente: grazie ad una riattivazione dell’intero impianto infatti si è cercato di reintegrare la struttura, ormai abbandonata, a quello che può considerarsi un network sociale, non solo della piccola comunità di Salussola, ma anche del sistema del biellese.
