The thesis aims to be a research of the potential of the Porta Venezia area, whether architectural, social or spatial. Beginning with a purely historical analysis, the area has been investigated since the '600 to today, comparing all the various transformation phases that plotted this part of the Milanese fabric. The whole social aspect of today's Venice area, with all the aspects of social degradation and perceived fear, is deepened; This vision was more thoroughly explored in the former Lazzaretto area by addressing a field survey work with interviews aimed at the various types of users in the area. The last part, on the other hand, seeks to address the whole phase of the potential of this area: starting from an initiative of the FAI addressed to Hotel Diurnal Venice (from this initiative all the research started, also published in a publication) was understood as This area had not been fully exploited by the territory of Milan and that many opportunities could be opened by its knowledge and appreciation, it is suitable for further insights because, in addition to its historical presence, it is dotted with buildings of the early century preceding the First World War, Following it and at the time of reconstruction, it would be possible to think of the activation of a 'twentieth-century' net that could tend to recover and re-nationalize a series of such occurrences in the area; Almost an open architecture museum. Identify, amongst those architectural works, a remarkable point like the former hotel of Luigi Moretti, which is ideally opposed to verticality and language, to the hypogeal essence of Diurnal, was a challenge on the field, or rather on that territory.

Abstract
Identify, amongst those architectural works, a remarkable point like the former hotel of Luigi Moretti, which is ideally opposed to verticality and language, to the hypogeal essence of Diurnal, was a challenge on the field, or rather on that territory.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
