This thesis illustrates a comprehensive view on Q6 Quality Standard as a part of Quality Management System within Airbus Operations Ltd. The findings are based on my internship experience after conducting interviews with management, individual observations and an analysis of Engagement Survey. In the last chapter, chapter 5, a critical view on Q6 is provided and proposals for its improvement are presented. The chapter focuses on deployment of Q6 in Broughton site, particularly on the A320 Program. The second chapter examines the Airbus Commercial Aircraft, the most successful division within Airbus Group, and describes priorities for the year 2017, key products as well as its competitors in the industry. Chapter 3 describes research methodology used to analyse current level of Q6 deployment within Single Aisle in Broughton. The fourth chapter is based on an analysis of the Airbus Quality Management System and its Quality Standards where focus is placed on Q6 Quality Standard and its benefits for business are investigated. In the last chapter, chapter 5, a critical view on Q6 is provided and proposals for its improvement are presented. The chapter focuses on deployment of Q6 in Broughton site, particularly on the A320 Program.
Questo lavoro di tesi presenta una visione complessiva riguardante il Q6 Quality Standard come parte del Quality Management System all'interno di Airbus Operations Ltd. I risultati presentati sono basati sulla mia esperienza di internship, sulle interviste con i managers dell'azienda, su un'analisi dell'Engagement Survey e su osservazioni personali. Il primo capitolo mostra i progressi effettuati nel campo del Quality Management che hanno riscosso maggior successo nel corso degli ultimi decenni, in particolare vengono confrontati il TQM, il Lean Manifacturing e il Six Sigma, assieme alle sue forme modificate. Il secondo capitolo esamina l'Airbus Commercial Aircraft, la divisione più di successo dell'Airbus Group, e ne descrive le priorità per l'anno 2017, i prodotti chiave e i suoi competitor nell'industria. Il capitolo 3 descrive le metodologie di ricerca utilizzate per analizzare l'attuale livello di implementazione del Q6 all'interno del programma Single Aisle, nello stabilimento di Broughton. Il quarto capitolo è basato sull'analisi dell'Airbus Quality Management System e sui suoi Quality Standards, in particolare vengono considerati il Q6 Quality Standard e i suoi benefici per il business. Infine, all'interno dell'ultimo capitolo, il capitolo 5, vengono presentate una visione critica riguardante il Q6 e delle proposte di miglioramento, particolare attenzione viene riservata all'implementazione del Q6 nel sito produttivo di Broughton per l'A320 Program.
