Today, societies are constantly changing in terms of social, economic, political and technological aspects. Change is inevitable, and like all aspects of contemporary life, architecture and urban spaces should similarly offer an appropriate response to such changes for remaining sustainable, useful and appropriate and should also have a suitable response to laws and regulations of recent issues like safety, environment, energy conservation, etc. Naples is one of those societies, which is under pressure of such mentioned changes plus climatic changes, such as Global warming. The city is getting warmer and warmer during the time, and the sea level is rising. ’’Ponticelli’’ in Naples is an urban space, some parts of which (specially abandoned and unused areas) are specified in ‘’Urban Recover Plan’’ by the Naples municipality to deal with challenges like economic poverty in neighbourhood, unsafeness, pollution and, in general, low life quality. In this regard, to deal with socio-economic and environmental problems ‘’Sustainable Urban Regeneration’’ can be the solution, to help cities solve these challenges and turn the city into places people want to live, work and play in. Public open spaces, such as parks and green spaces, are key built environment elements within neighbourhoods for encouraging a variety of physical activity behaviours. Over the past decade, there has been a burgeoning number of active living research studies examining the influence of public open space on physical activities. This project tries to find out how to renovate an urban district in Ponticelli, East Napoli, which is under impact of these mentioned challenges to be more alive, accessible, safe, economic, eco-friendly, energy efficient, climatic adaptable and social interactive. Abstract
