Both in the maritime cities and in the lake ones the waterfront represents an advantage to embellish and enhance the site. Como displays a great potential, in fact since 1800 it is considered a charming tourist attraction. It hosts for most of the year people from all over the world. Not only for this reason but also in order to give value to all the waterfront of Como, the challenge was to intervene in one of the weak part of the lakefront, the joining link between the pedestrian paths towards Villa Olmo and the one from Piazza Cavour to Monumento ai Caduti. An important issue was dealing with an area sprinkled of amazing beautiful Villas and a well known skyline considered unrivaled from centuries. this way the attemption was to integrate quietly the project in the context.
