Valorization of the historical and cultural potential of archaeological area, Svac, Montenegro

The subject of this work is the valorization of the historical and cultural potential of archaeological site- Svač, which is about twenty kilometers from the Ulcinj town of Montenegro along the border with Albania. The 1985 archaeological research, which continued in 2015, points to the fact that in this area of over 10 hectares there was a settlement in the prehistoric times and that the town of Svač was built in the 6th century. The team of experts who conducted the first research, emphasized the great importance of continued archeological and historical research not only for Montenegro, Serbia and Albania, but also for the entire Balkan peninsula and Italy. Two basic values preoccupied my attention and were the foundation of the project idea. These are remarkable natural ambience and remains of important buildings built long ago. With a solution of the project, visitors can, in a thoughtful way, offer an insight into these values. Starting point of the project is at the parking lot, and has been traversed next to the most significant exhibits - the ruins of religious and other buildings, providing places for rest with exraordinary panorama. This path goes into a circular line passing through a museum which is one of the most attractive stops on the track.

Il tema di questa tesi è la valorizzazione del potenziale storico e culturale del sito archeologico - Svač, che si trova a circa venti chilometri dalla città di Ulcinj, Montenegro lungo il confine con l'Albania. La ricerca archeologica del 1985, proseguita nel 2015, fa notare che in questa zona di oltre 10 ettari si è verificato un insediamento nei tempi preistorici e che la città di Svač fu costruita nel VI secolo. Il team di esperti che ha condotto la prima ricerca ha sottolineato la grande importanza della continua ricerca archeologica e storica non solo per il Montenegro, per la Serbia e per l'Albania, ma anche per l'intera penisola balcanica e l'Italia. Due valori fondamentali preoccupavano la mia attenzione e costituivano la base dell'idea del progetto. Questi sono l'ambiente naturale notevole e resti di importanti edifici costruiti molto tempo fa. Con una soluzione del progetto, i visitatori possono, in modo premuroso, offrire una visione di questi valori. Il punto di partenza del progetto si trova al parcheggio ed è stato attraversato accanto alle mostre più significative: le rovine di edifici religiosi e altri edifici, che offrono posti di riposo con straordinaria panorama. Questo percorso va in una linea circolare che passa attraverso un museo che è una delle tappe più attraenti della strada.
