The aim of this master thesis is to practically study a social enterprise and understand the underlying operational model that drives the enterprise and analyse if it is robust and financially sustainable for them to realise their social mission over long term. After describing the historical and scientific background of new approaches in economic thinking such as circular economy, the business case of Helpusgreen®, an Indian social enterprise is presented. After analysing the model of the enterprise different tools were proposed for example using theory of change for social impact measurement, undertaking multi stakeholder study using stake holder matrix and finally providing a process innovation proposal for the company. The development of the impact analysis and process innovation are part of the author’s internship.
Lo scopo della tesi è di offrire uno studio pratico di un'impresa sociale e capire il modello operativo che ne è alla base, ed analizzare se sia finaziariamente sostenibile per esse realizzare la propria missione sociale nel lungo termine. Dopo aver descritto il background storico e scientifico dei nuovi approcci al pensiero economico come l'economia circolare, sarà presentato il business case di Helpusgreen, una impresa sociale indiana. Dopo aver analizzato il modello dell'impresa, verranno proposti diversi strumenti, come l'uso della “Theory of Change" per la misurazione dell'impatto sociale, condurre lo studio degli attori interessati usando la matrice degli stakeholder, e infine offrire alla compagnia una proposta di innovazione del proprio processo. Lo sviluppo dell'analisi dell'impatto e del processo di innovazione sono parte dell'internship dell'autore.
