This Master Thesis work, carried out at the Sensors and Detectors Laboratory of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering of Politecnico di Milano, focuses on an innovative MEMS triaxial monolithic magnetic field sensor. This device, whose operation is based on the Lorentz force, proposes to replace the magnetometers currently on the market, used to build a 6, 9 or 10-DOF IMU integrated in a single package. The following chapters will examine the working principle of the sensor and describe the structure of the magnetometer under test. The electronic board, designed for the device characterization, and the measurements obtained through it will also be shown in detail.

Abstract
This Master Thesis work, carried out at the Sensors and Detectors Laboratory of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering of Politecnico di Milano, focuses on an innovative MEMS triaxial monolithic magnetic field sensor. This device, whose operation is based on the Lorentz force, proposes to replace the magnetometers currently on the market, used to build a 6, 9 or 10-DOF IMU integrated in a single package. The following chapters will examine the working principle of the sensor and describe the structure of the magnetometer under test. The electronic board, designed for the device characterization, and the measurements obtained through it will also be shown in detail.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
