Electronic suspension systems have been largely studied in the automotive field, for comfort and road holding improvement. In off-highway vehicles these technologies have just recently been introduced, and much research can still be done. In particular, driver’s comfort is of mayor interest for these vehicles’ as mostly driven on rough and uneven roads. This thesis deals with the analysis, design and experimental application of electronic suspension’s control systems for agricultural machines. Themes regarding load leveling and semi-active suspension’s control are investigated, considering cabin’s and front axle’s tractor’s suspensions, which are the most common systems found in these vehicles.
I sistemi di sospensioni elettroniche sono stati largamente studiati nel campo automotive, con lo scopo di migliorare il comfort e la tenuta stradale del veicolo. Solo di recente, queste tecnologie sono state introdotte nel campo dei veicoli agricoli, e per questo motivo largo spazio di ricerca è presente. In particolare, per questa tipologia di veicoli, , poiché maggiormente utilizzati su strade irregolari, il comfort pilota è di interesse predominante. Questo lavoro di tesi affronta l’analisi, il design e la validazione sperimentale di sistemi di controllo di sospensioni elettroniche applicate su veicoli agricoli. Sono stati investigati argomenti riguardanti i controlli di load leveling e semi-attivo, considerando le sospensioni di cabina e di assale anteriore, i quali possono considerarsi i sistemi di sospensione più comunemente utilizzati in questa tipologia di veicoli.
