The following reflections take place around two main issues that run in parallel throughout the process. On one hand, the theme of constructibility according to the principles of DfMA (Design for Manufacturnig and Assembly), with an eye on emergency circumstances. Simultaneously the method has been verified on a case study consisting of spaces for innovative didactics. What emerges from the first theme is the in-depth study of a base cell, called Home-Base. From the second one comes a kindergarten school realized as an aggregation of didactic spaces according to an innovative pedagogical plan. By doing so, a systemic approach to the project has been followed, very much different from the ordinary one. It addresses each level with intermediate goals as well as the final one in mind. The work aims to demonstrates the importance of all stages of the process. The path starts with a study of historical relationships between industrial and construction sector, highlighting the causes of past failures. Then the prospects of a more profitable relationship to our day have been outlined, thanks also to the growing involvement of digital instruments. To adapt these reflections to a precise case study, all this end up in defining the needs of a kindergarten; reflecting on the correlation between architectural and pedagogical design. Finally, attention switch on the construction phase, in particular on the management of the information it needs. The will is to imagine the contributions that the practices of the Manufacturing industry, along with new digital media, can bring to process management in the construction sector. Furthermore, check the applicability margins of an approach such as DfMA to childcare facilities and to think about aspects of this approach that could push the construction industry. The expected result is a conscience about the need to bring industry attention to every single stage of the process, avoiding focusing on just a few of them. On the other hand, those aspects that have been left out till today are the most attractive at the market level, and with more operating margins. In the near future, and now, the industry will cross its own way with approaches that other industries have been applying for some time. In the low reactivity of the AEC sector is the disadvantage of chronic delay, as well as the opportunity to undertake paths already experienced by others, and therefore economically less risky.

Abstract
In the low reactivity of the AEC sector is the disadvantage of chronic delay, as well as the opportunity to undertake paths already experienced by others, and therefore economically less risky.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
