Theater academy Berlin. Theater city

Due to intensive demolitions during wars, urbanism of Berlin has been almost completely rebuilt, but also left several urban gaps, waiting to be filled in. The subject of this thesis is the design of a Theater Academy in Berlin in one of these voids. The project area is located close to the Spreebogen district at the Nordhafen, by the river Spree. The Theater Academy is placed at the node of linear axes of the site and the perpendicular character of object buildings positioned along the river. By its urban composition and morphological form, its primary idea is to operate and work as a "Theater City", using all representative elements of the city, such as streets, paths, squares, blocks, buildings, passages and etc. The Theater City would act as a generator of urban form for the future urban development, considering the river and relationship with the Hamburger Museum. The theater has a potential to become a new landmark of the city and a final cultural destination of the bank of river Spree, thanks to its strategic point in the urbanism.

A causa di intense demolizioni durante le guerre, l'urbanistica di Berlino è stata quasi completamente ricostruita, ma ha anche lasciato diversi spazi urbani, in attesa di essere riempita. L'argomento di questa tesi è la progettazione di una Theatre Academy di Berlino in uno di questi vuoti. L'area del progetto si trova vicino al quartiere Spreebogen a Nordhafen, vicino al fiume Spree. L'Accademia Teatrale è collocata al nodo degli assi lineari del sito e al carattere perpendicolare degli edifici oggetto posizionati lungo il fiume. Con la sua composizione urbana e la sua forma morfologica, la sua idea primaria è quella di operare e lavorare come una "Città del teatro", utilizzando tutti gli elementi rappresentativi della città, come strade, sentieri, piazze, blocchi, edifici, passaggi e così via. The Theater City avrebbe agito come un generatore di forma urbana per il futuro sviluppo urbano, considerando il fiume e il rapporto con il Museo Hamburger. Il teatro ha un potenziale per diventare un nuovo punto di riferimento della città e una destinazione culturale finale della sponda del fiume Sprea, grazie al suo punto strategico nell'urbanistica.
