The tall building artistically considered

The problem of the tall building is not a technical one but an artistic one. The technical means to make a modern building have changed surprising little in the last 20 years, except that the buildings have become fatter and taller. For designing skyscraper in Hong Kong, we sought to renew the important relationship between skyscrapers and explore the potential of trabeation to give expression to this reluctant actor in the city.

Il problema dell'alto edificio non è un problema tecnico ma artistico. I mezzi tecnici per fare un edificio moderno sono cambiati in modo sorprendente negli ultimi 20 anni, tranne che gli edifici sono diventati più grassi e più alti. Per progettare il grattacielo a Hong Kong, abbiamo cercato di rinnovare l'importante relazione tra i grattacieli ed esplorare il potenziale della trabeazione per dare espressione a questo riluttante attore in città.
