Como community center : revitalisation of the stadium area

In this study, we lay out the main development of the project near the area of the Como Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium. The project was developed around revitalization of the area for the visitants by providing performance arts and new public space for the city. In this area, a community center was created which included dance school with brand new tribunes which are connected to the stadium and new Public Square above the building The Como City is located on the Italian-Swiss border. Como overlooks the southwest end of its lake (locally known as Lario) and is surrounded by green ridge hills, resulting in unparalleled, natural scenery. The town center, enclosed within the medieval walls, an ancient atmosphere which reveals its centuries of history. Because of this differences in the city, the project was designed also connection point for the city. At this point, there is a public square on the top of the building at the heart of the project area. The development was started with the city analysis and defined the functions of the project. According to the users, there should be facilities which can also be used by the children. For that reason, dance school concept appeared. Also developed a solution for the social integration between the users and also dancers from all around the building.

In questo studio, abbiamo delineato lo sviluppo principale del progetto vicino all'area dello stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia di Como. Il progetto è stato sviluppato attorno alla rivitalizzazione dell'area per i visitatori, fornendo arti performative e nuovi spazi pubblici per la città. In questa zona è stato creato un centro comunitario che comprendeva la scuola di danza con tribune nuove di zecca collegate allo stadio e la nuova piazza pubblica sopra l'edificio La città di Como si trova al confine italo-svizzero. Como si affaccia sull'estremità sud-occidentale del suo lago (localmente conosciuto come Lario) ed è circondato da verdi colline di cresta, dando vita a uno scenario naturale senza pari.
