New provincial fire house in Lecco

This thesis report is about the design process of the new provincial fire house in Lecco Maggianico and the urban planning of the surrounding area, including a proposal of the development of the Bione sports center next to the project area. Together with the report, there is also a book of boards that explain the project and design process with diagrams and pictures since that is impossible to explain all the thoughts that appeared during the working process. The whole project includes four parts that run at the same time and also influenced by each other, which is Urban Design, Architectural Design, Sustainable Building Technology and Structural Design. Urban Design part explains the changes of the Bione sports area and the water front, the artificial landscape on the project area is presented with the plan of the new building because it relates to the appearance and function of the building. Architectural Design part presents the design achievement of the new building and its surrounding that composed the integration complex of architecture and landscape. Sustainable Building Technology part illustrates the energy analysis and technologies applied in the building, and how it influences and effects the figure of the building. Structural Design part displays a plan for the steel structure and how does this structure plan effects the floor plan of the building.

Questa tesi riguarda la progettazione della nuova caserma provinciale dei Vigili del Fuoco di Lecco Maggianico e la pianificazione urbana dell’area circostante, compresa una proposta relativa allo sviluppo del centro sportive di Bione adiacente all’area del progetto. Allegato alla tesi vi è una raccolta di tavole il cui scopo è di illustrare il progetto ed il processo di design tramite diagrammi ed illustrazioni, aiutando a spiegare i flussi di pensiero emersi durante la lavorazione. L’intero progetto è formato da quattro parti coesistenti e che si influenzano tra loro, ovvero: Design Urbano, Design Architetturale, Tecnologia Edilizia Sostenibile e Design Strutturale. La parte di Design Urbano è relativa alle modifiche dell’area sportiva di Bione e dell’area lacustre; il paesaggio artificiale viene presentato con la pianificazione del nuovo edificio in quanto è relativo al suo aspetto ed alle sue funzionalità. La parte di Design Architetturale riguarda la realizzazione del design del nuovo edificio e dell’area circostante, rappresentando il complesso di integrazione tra l’architettura ed il paesaggio. La parte relativa alla Tecnologia Edilizia Sostenibile illustra l’analisi energetica e le tecnologie applicate nel progetto di costruzione, e come esse influenzano ed incidono sulle fattezze dell’edificio. La parte di Design Strutturale mostra un piano per la struttura in acciaio e come questo piano strutturale influenza la pianta dell’edificio.
