Public transport is constantly developing and there is considerable innovation in electric traction systems. The following thesis is based on the creation of a calculation system that allows, starting from the mechanical and electrical base data, to obtain data on the operation of the train and on the characterization of the parameters of the same and the parameters of the substations. As software, it was decided to use Excel and Matlab with which it was possible to obtain the voltage data at the pantograph, the currents and the powers of the various electrical substations. Moreover, the use of these software allows to easily model any line different from the one considered, also characterized by different trains, lines and feeds. The simulation is, in fact, able to study completely different systems (such as high speed) or lines with consistent slopes: all with feeds both in continuous and alternating.

Abstract
Public transport is constantly developing and there is considerable innovation in electric traction systems. The following thesis is based on the creation of a calculation system that allows, starting from the mechanical and electrical base data, to obtain data on the operation of the train and on the characterization of the parameters of the same and the parameters of the substations. As software, it was decided to use Excel and Matlab with which it was possible to obtain the voltage data at the pantograph, the currents and the powers of the various electrical substations. Moreover, the use of these software allows to easily model any line different from the one considered, also characterized by different trains, lines and feeds. The simulation is, in fact, able to study completely different systems (such as high speed) or lines with consistent slopes: all with feeds both in continuous and alternating.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
