This study explores whether Innovation Contest may enhance Corporate Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Orientation in well-established and stagnant firms. A mixed method approach informed our investigation by combining a multiple case study with a Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Summated scale method. The key findings are threefold. First, it emerges that Innovation Contest may effectively lead to some form of Corporate Entrepreneurship. In particular, two forms of CE emerged at one year distance from the conclusion of the innovation contest: sustained regeneration and organizational rejuvenation. Second, both quantitative results on EO level (ex-ante and ex-post contest) and qualitative interviews confirmed the educational function of Innovation Contest. Finally, our study confirms the entrepreneurial (opportunity-seeking) nature of Innovation Contest as action.

Abstract
Finally, our study confirms the entrepreneurial (opportunity-seeking) nature of Innovation Contest as action.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
