Effects of disturbances and order release frequencies on ORR methods' performances

The ORR methods are used to improve productivity and look for optimization in a regular shop in an MTO company. The criterias and methodologies in which the ORR method is based on, plays an important aspect for the success and efficiency of the method. The focus of this thesis is completely based on the analysis of the performances and effectiveness of ORR methods under different situations and it has two parts. The first one is related to the order release phase of the ORR method, specifically the analysis of the effects of the order release frequency on the overall efficiency and performance. On the other hand, the other objective of the thesis, is to analyze different ORR methods and their efficiency and performance in situations in which disturbances play an important role. The disturbances considered for this study are the level of machine breakdown or failure and the level of distortion and which are described in detail in the sections of the paper. It is believed that the results of the study will serve as a support for management decisions on the appropriate ORR method suited for the different scenarios that may be encountered in real life.

I metodi ORR vengono utilizzati per migliorare la produttività e cercare l'ottimizzazione in un normale negozio in un'azienda di MTO. I criteri e le metodologie su cui si basa il metodo ORR, svolgono un ruolo importante per il successo e l'efficienza del metodo. Il focus di questa tesi è completamente basato sull'analisi delle prestazioni e l'efficacia dei metodi ORR in diverse situazioni e ha due parti. Il primo è relativo alla fase di rilascio dell'ordine del metodo ORR, in particolare l'analisi degli effetti della frequenza di rilascio dell'ordine sull'efficienza e sulle prestazioni complessive. D'altra parte, l'altro obiettivo della tesi è quello di analizzare diversi metodi ORR e la loro efficienza e performance in situazioni in cui i disturbi svolgono un ruolo importante. I disturbi considerati per questo studio sono il livello di guasto o guasto della macchina e il livello di distorsione e che sono descritti in dettaglio nelle sezioni del documento. Si ritiene che i risultati dello studio serviranno come supporto per le decisioni di gestione sul metodo ORR appropriato adatto ai diversi scenari che si possono incontrare nella vita reale.
