This study aims to find a new theoretical framework which guides the social innovation process to tackle the NEETs issue. Young people not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) represent a real and crucial emergency for many European countries which show NEETs rates higher than the European average (11.5%). Therefore, the thesis intends to deepen this topic together with the social innovation theory which has become very popular and relevant as an instrument to solve societal challenges or to cope welfare gaps. After the analysis of extant knowledges on the two topics, it will develop the new theoretical framework through a hybridization process which matches social innovation elements with NEETs characteristics systematically. Then, the framework will be deployed and validated through a case study. A careful discussion on the main strengths and weaknesses of the new framework is proposed at the end of this thesis as well as some possible future developments of this study.

Abstract
A careful discussion on the main strengths and weaknesses of the new framework is proposed at the end of this thesis as well as some possible future developments of this study.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
