Recent studies indicate that, despite the competition for gaining lower cost and higher profits, corporations are becoming more aware of environmental and social impacts of their operations. Nowadays by increasing the level of environmental awareness in competitive market, companies are considering sustainability as competitive advantage and seeing it as important opportunities for growth. Therefore, in developed countries assessing carbon footprint, environmental impact and other sustainable measures of suppliers is a key to targeting weak areas in supply chain and become a leader in competitive market. Through Supply chain in process industries, sometimes up to 90% of environmental impact is directly linked to suppliers. As far as supplier selection, processes by which companies evaluate, select and maintain their suppliers are as one of the major operation affecting company’s sustainable performance. There is an essential need to develop a structured framework for sustainable supplier selection through supply chain and having a better view about efficient and functional methodologies for supplier and green supplier selection and evaluation to ensure the firm’s operations are in line with environmental and social alignment. In this dissertation, we try to cumulate the majority of existing models for supplier and sustainable supplier to have a better overview for selecting and evaluating new supplier through sustainable supply chain.
Gli studi recenti indicano che, nonostante la concorrenza per ottenere costi più pochi e profitti più elevati, le aziende stanno diventando più consapevoli dell'impatto ambientale e sociale delle loro operazioni. Di questi tempi con aumentando il livello di consapevolezza ambientale nel mercato competitivo, le aziende considerano la sostenibilità un vantaggio competitivo e lo considerano un'importante opportunità della crescita. Pertanto, nei paesi sviluppati, valutare il mercato di carbonio, l'impatto ambientale e altre misure sostenibili dei fornitori è il fattore chiave per dirigere le aree deboli nella filiera e diventare leader nel mercato competitivo. Attraverso la filiera nelle industrie di processo, a volte fino al 90% dell'impatto ambientale è direttamente collegato ai fornitori. Distante come la selezione dei fornitori, i processi con cui le aziende valutano, selezionano e mantengono i loro fornitori, sono delle principali operazioni che influenzano la prestazione sostenibile delle aziende. C’è un bisogno essenziale di sviluppare una struttura per la selezione i fornitori sostenibili attraverso filiera e avere una migliore visione delle metodologie efficienti e funzionali per la selezione e la valutazione dei fornitori e dei fornitori verdi per garantire che le operazioni dell'impresa siano in linea con l'allineamento ambientale e sociale. In questa tesi, cerchiamo di accumulare la maggior parte dei modelli esistenti per fornitore e fornitore sostenibile per avere una panoramica migliore per la selezione e la valutazione di nuovi fornitori attraverso una filiera sostenibile.
