In this Master Thesis an electronic board for MEMS inertial sensors testing was designed. Together with the test software developed in Labview, the system is able to measure the resonance frequency and the quality factor of the sensor. This project was started by the semiconductor company Tronics Microsystems, in order to improve the functionality and the performances of its actual wafer-level testing system. In the first part, the structure of the circuit and noise analysis will be presented. In fact, noise, together with versatility and range of testable products, represents a fundamental parameter for the operation of the electronic board. The final part of the project regards the characterization of the system and the tests of linearity, noise, temperature drift, repeatability and functionality on inertial MEMS sensors will be described. In the end, a versatile, robust and performing instrument was obtained, giving also the possibility of future improvements.

Abstract
In this Master Thesis an electronic board for MEMS inertial sensors testing was designed. Together with the test software developed in Labview, the system is able to measure the resonance frequency and the quality factor of the sensor. In the end, a versatile, robust and performing instrument was obtained, giving also the possibility of future improvements.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
