The aim of this work is to design and build a device to help students to visualize and understand theoretical concepts in control engineering. For the sake of simplicity and low cost, a process consisting of a ball levitating by air ow controlled by arduino is considered. The control objective is to make the height of the aerodynamically levitated ball track a reference trajectory by manipulating the voltage of the blower which is the actuator. A shell has been developed in Matlab Simulink to provide communication with the real plant.
Lo scopo di questo lavoro e stato di sviluppare un dispositivo di laboratorio, di semplice utilizzo ed economico. Il dispositivo consiste in una palla levitante, mantenuta ad altezze de nite grazie a un getto di aria erogato da un piccolo sistema di ventilazione. Nella tesi sono a rontati e discussi i principali problemi costruttivi, di analisi del dispositivo, e di progetto preliminare di un sistema di controllo dedicato.
