Infant respiratory distress syndrome is a disease affecting preterm newborns, caused by a deficit of a tensio-active agent called pulmonary surfactant. This project of thesis deals with the development of a device to perform the administration of exogenous surfactant using a minimally invasive atomized approach.
La sindrome da distress respiratorio neonatale è una patologia che colpisce i neonati pretermine, causata da un deficit di un agente tensioattivo chiamato surfattante polmonare. Questo progetto di tesi si occupa dello sviluppo di un dispositivo per effettuare la somministrazione di surfattante esogeno utilizzando un approccio minimamente invasivo e rientrante nei metodi di atomizzazione.
