The site is located in the centre of Milan, which is the centre of the historic area. Respecting the context is the vital point of the project. The project should be a good piece of the city. It should activate the site, embodying the value, which the site deserves, on the historical and the commercial of the location. And the project should contains not only a program which fits the current state, but also a form meets the demand of history. The context of the site: 01. The centre of the historic area. (close to the Duomo) 02. High commercial value. (near Via Torino) 03. Relatively quiet. (surrounded by residences) 04. Not so popularity. (mismatch high commercial value) 05. Touching the existing buildings. 06. Containing the trace of the historical changes in urban texture. (before 16thC, 19thC, the Inner Traffic Ring in 1930s, etc.) 07. Various functions. Complete the block. 03. Open the ground floor, activate the site and the surroundings. 04. A coordinate from the police office in north, A coordinate from the existing buildings of the block in south, An axes from Via Valpetrosa which connects to Via Torino. 05. A complex program as the various functions of the surroundings. 06. Consider the volume of the project. 07. Void in the south of the site. 08. Extend Via Valpetrosa, through the site. 09. Tripartite facades. 10. Height from the buildings around the site. 11. Underground garage. 12. Connections with the existing buildings. 13. Grey space in west. 14. Il sito si trova nel centro di Milano, che è il centro della zona storica. Rispettare il contesto è il punto vitale del progetto. Il progetto dovrebbe essere un buon pezzo di città. Dovrebbe attivare il sito, incarnando il valore, che il sito merita, sullo storico e lo spot della location. E il progetto dovrebbe contenere non solo un programma che si adatta allo stato attuale, ma anche una forma soddisfa la domanda della storia. Il contesto del sito: 01. Il centro dell'area storica.
