Cuore di Sant'Anna

Heart of Sant’Anna, ever since the city of Verbania, is known for Pallanza as the political centre, in the vicinity of Castagnola and Intra as the commercial centre that allowed citizens to transport and sell their goods beyond the lake. Sant’Anna is halfway between these cities, despite the activities it has hosted within its borders, since the Germans and Austrians came to whiten the fabrics and then with the industrial revolution when it had the factories, it was always a suburb and not a city. In 1936, with the the new regulatory plan, it was about to give a center to this place. The regulatory plan with all its objectives had not been a success and even today there is lack of a centre for a place that should play a very important role in connecting Pallanza and Intra. this thesis tries to give highlight this area, in particular with a building that stands like Acropolis of Sant'Anna on the ancient field and recognizing everything that has been built in the last century.

Cuore di Sant’Anna, fin da sempre la città di verbania, è conosciuta con pallanza come sede politica, in vicinanza a castagnola e intra come sede commerciale che permetteva ai cittadini di trasportare e vendere la loro merce al di la del lago maggiore. Sant’Anna come un quartiere si trova a metà strada tra queste città, nonstante le attivita che ha ospitato dentro i suoi confini, sin da quando venivano i tedeschi e gli austriaci a sbiancare i tessuti e poi con la rivoluzione industriale quando ha avuto le fabbriche, sempre è stata una periferia e non una città. nel 1936 con il concorso per un nuovo piano regolatore si è messa in discussione a dare un centro a questo posto. il piano regolatore con tutti i suoi obiettivi non ha avuto un successo e ancora oggi si sente molto la mancanza di un centro per un posto che dovrebbe giocare un ruolo molto importante nel collegare Pallanza e Intra. questa tesi cerca di dare un centro a questa zona, in particolare con un edificio che sorge come Acropoli di Sant'Anna sulla antica giacitura e riconoscendo nello stesso momento tutto ciò che è stato costruito nell'ultimo secolo.
