Cité moderne de la Jarry. Progettazione di luoghi di espressione artistica e promozione di eventi culturali nella periferia di Parigi

The fil rouge of this research are the incubators of contemporary art in the city of Paris. Ultimately the goal of the project and the purpose of the thesis is the rehabilitation of an old industrial building, situated in the suburb of the city inside the district of Vincennes. Even though it is currently abandoned, the building has been illegally squatted for many years mainly by artists and wayfarers, some more known than others. They used this building as a shelter but mostly it was a place of artistic expression therefore it has been divided in different workplaces. The purpose of the project is to organize the exiting spaces in order to integrate them with the existing urban and social context.

Il lavoro di ricerca ha come tema i luoghi di espressione artistica contemporanea nella città di Parigi. La successiva redazione della tesi ha come obiettivo la riqualificazione di un ex-edificio industriale, situato alla periferia della metropoli francese nel quartiere di Vincennes. Attualmente abbandonato, l’edificio è stato per anni occupato abusivamente da artisti e viandanti che nel tempo l’hanno utilizzato non solo come rifugio abitativo ma anche come luogo di espressione artistica suddividendosi lo spazio in luoghi di lavoro. Il tema del progetto ha come intento di organizzare e distribuire gli spazi esistenti al fine di integrarli nuovamente, in maniera più consapevole, nel tessuto urbano e sociale del quartiere.
