Nature : a key to spirituality. Celebrating a tree

Spiritulity as a concept is diverse, hence one solution or one path may not be the most ideal way to experience it. There is no etopian solution, rather an exploration towards finding your own inner peace. Exploring the grounds of Spirituality through a deep theoritical research, it was interesting to see the numerous factors that contribute to a spiritual experience. This thesis trys to create a bond between humans and trees through design, by creating spaces that allow you to come closer to the tree and experience it at different levels. Trees have an individuality, just like humans, they grow differently and have a character, so they all need to be addressed accordingly, hence the idea of building one typology for every tree would be insufficient. The idea is to provide architects and designers with a framework where they first study the tree and then choose thier desirable volumes from the framework as a strating point, to create a model of their own.The tree is the protagonist, so it decides and shapes the possible spaces in and around it. The idea is to bring this model to the cities where people are often missing out on such experiences and induce it with city life functions which makes the structure a part of their everyday ritual. The first and only rule of the framework is to not harm the tree in any way. There should be a mutual respect and bond between humans and the tree, which would eventually get strengthened by being around these spaces with time.

La spiritualità come concetto è diversa, quindi una soluzione o un percorso potrebbero non essere il modo più ideale per viverlo. Non esiste una soluzione etopica, piuttosto un'esplorazione per trovare la propria pace interiore. Esplorando i motivi della Spiritualità attraverso una profonda ricerca teorica, è stato interessante vedere i numerosi fattori che contribuiscono a un'esperienza spirituale. Questa tesi cerca di creare un legame tra uomo e alberi attraverso il design, creando spazi che permettano di avvicinarsi all'albero e sperimentarlo a diversi livelli. Gli alberi hanno un'individualità, proprio come gli umani, crescono in modo diverso e hanno un carattere, quindi tutti devono essere indirizzati di conseguenza, quindi l'idea di costruire una tipologia per ogni albero sarebbe insufficiente. L'idea è di fornire agli architetti e ai progettisti una struttura in cui prima studiano l'albero e poi scelgono i volumi desiderabili dalla struttura come un punto di riferimento, per creare un modello proprio. L'albero è il protagonista, quindi decide e modella gli spazi possibili dentro e intorno ad esso. L'idea è di portare questo modello nelle città in cui le persone spesso si perdono in tali esperienze e le inducono con funzioni di vita di città che fanno della struttura una parte del loro rituale quotidiano. La prima e unica regola del framework è di non danneggiare l'albero in alcun modo. Ci dovrebbe essere un reciproco rispetto e legame tra gli umani e l'albero, che alla fine si rafforzerebbe stando attorno a questi spazi con il tempo.
