Major changes in the population’s health have occurred during the past few years in Indonesia as the average length of life has increased. A population that is going to live longer will make new demands on care and attention. Ageing is an inevitable and extremely complicated procedure developed in time. On the other hand, the beginning phase of human life also gives another challenge to the country. Childhood should be also counted on the list before concerning ageing problem in the country. The fast track of our contemporary life makes people get apart from close relationships like the family bond, which pushes this thesis to concern more about these two subjects and the relation between them. This thesis is trying to understand the issue that affects both different generations from interior architectural space point of view. The goal is to find possible remedies that can provide a space for two different generations as the subjects by looking through their traditional living space and adapt it to the future design.

Abstract
Major changes in the population’s health have occurred during the past few years in Indonesia as the average length of life has increased.
