Dal giardino di Seggiano : scoprire il territorio toscano partendo dai giardini dell'arte

Contemporary art gardens are currently among Tuscany's most relevant tourist resources. Over six million people reach this region every year, mostly for art and culture purposes. The area around the city of Grosseto, the one with the biggest amount of gardens, is the most visited combined with Florence, therefore art gardens gain a great importance for the region's tourist heritage. The issue pointed out here is that these gardens are totally disconnected and uninvolved with each other, as they all care about their visitors and follow their own philosophies, in terms of both artistic offer and innovation. Starting from one of them, The Garden of Daniel Spoerri, located in the town of Seggiano (GR) I conducted a deep study of the territory and I identified a specific portion to operate in. The purpose of this dissertation is to develop a product-service system which is able to connect these dots, that are now distributed throughout the region in a sort of rivalry attitude. The product-service is oriented to a target of experts, as the preliminary investigation underlined that two visitors out of three had previously been to another garden before coming to Seggiano. It is based in lower Tuscany, which is to say the areas of Maremma, Siena, Elba island and Metallifere hills. However, the bedrock is a concept replicable anywhere, as long as it will be rooted in the selected territory, as it was for Tuscany in this case. The connection among gardens happens through local food, one of Tuscany's most powerful skills. It's an opportunity to explore the territory, through what it offers in the circumstances mentioned above. The user experience is provided by a mobile application, with a intuitive user interface, that helps to get oriented in the hills-labyrinth that features this part of Italy. One of the points covered most carefully was the restoration of human contact, which is typical of the relation with the locals and maybe what drove Spoerri to these authentic and genuine places. The visitor will thereby be able to track the wandering life of the artist and travel from a garden to another with extreme easiness, to pleasantly find out and taste what's hidden in the route.

I giardini d'arte contemporanea sono attualmente una delle risorse turistiche più importanti della Toscana. Se si pensa che ogni anno più di sei milioni di persone giungono in questa regione per fini culturali e artistici e che l'area grossetana (che ne ospita un gran numero) è quella più frequentata con Firenze, i giardini acquistano un ruolo di primaria importanza nel potenziale turistico della regione. Lo stato dell'arte della relazione fra di essi però è di grande indifferenza, poiché ognuno si interessa del proprio pubblico e segue le proprie logiche, sia in termini di offerta artistica, sia di innovazione. Partendo da uno di essi, Il Giardino di Daniel Spoerri, situato nel comune di Seggiano (GR), è stato condotto uno studio territoriale ed è stato individuato un territorio specifico sul quale intervenire. L'obiettivo di questa dissertazione è quello di individuare un sistema di prodotto-servizio in grado di connettere questi punti di riferimento, che oggi si distribuiscono sul territorio quasi in rivalità. Il prodotto-servizio si rivolge principalmente a un pubblico di esperti, poiché durante le indagini preliminari su un campione di visitatori a Seggiano è stato appurato che più di due su tre avevano già visitato un giardino artistico in precedenza. Si basa sulla parte meridionale della Toscana, nei territori compresi fra la Maremma, il Senese, l'Elba e le Colline Metallifere. L'idea di fondo però è che il concept sia replicabile altrove, purché fondato sulle radici del territorio prescelto, come in questo caso lo è stato per la Toscana. La connessione fra i giardini avviene con una chiave di lettura, individuata nel cibo - il linguaggio che la Toscana parla meglio. È un'opportunità di scoprire nel dettaglio il territorio, tramite ciò che ha da offrire (nei termini sopra indicati). L'esperienza viene fornita tramite un'applicazione per tecnologia mobile, di semplice interfaccia e utilizzo, che aiuti ad orientarsi nel labirinto di colline di cui è caratterizzato questo tratto di penisola. Si è cercato di recuperare il calore umano, che è proprio della relazione con i locali e forse ciò che ha indotto Spoerri a insediarsi in questi luoghi autentici e genuini. Il visitatore potrà emulare la vita raminga dell'artista, viaggiando con facilità da un giardino all'altro, alla piacevole scoperta per il palato di ciò che si cela nel percorso.
