HOSPITALITY AND HEALTHCARE: ENVIRONMENTAL HEALING - A place to Heal: Regenerating Castellazzo Area as a Wellbeing and Healing Center Abstract The multidisciplinarity in tourism has enabled new concepts of professional practices, including healthcare. In an increasingly growing market, healthcare providers are adopting best practices from the hospitality industry to provide better patient experience. The structure of medical hotel services has been applied both public and private healthcare institutions to provide patients and family members comfortable and pleasant environment. The present study offers a model of hospitality to provide a patient-based perspective of the infusion of healthcare and wellbeing. This study examined the infusion of hospitality and healthcare by emphasizing the “patient as guest.” Intuitively, hospitality stay is a desirable attribution for a satisfactory medical experience. The aim of this research is to categorize the responsible determinants to amplify the quality that is perceived by the patients during their stay. The study makes a contribution by answering the question ‘ how the integration of healing features in hospitality concept could streamline the delivery of care services and changing mindsets of patients and their expectations ’, by transforming ‘patient’ to ‘guest’ and redefine the medical experience by creating therapeutic environment. For this propose it was analyzed the functionality of the hospitality services for wellbeing of the patients, which was showed with variety of facilities as case studies. From the research, it can be proved the significance of the hotel services that cooperates with the health institutions in order to provide quality services to the patients and their families. The study demonstrates that the services of support were offering comfort and well-being, helping patients and family members, inferring the in the initial expectation of the hospital patient and exceeding their expectations. The results show that the working definition of hybridization of healthcare, hospitality and service facilities was credible and would prove to be a useful concept for improving patient experiences and expectations.
OSPITALITÀ E SANITARIA: GUARIGIONE AMBIENTALE - Un posto dove curarsi: Rigenerando l’area Castellazzo come un Centro di Cura e Benessere Astratto In un mercato sempre più competitivo, i fornitori dell’assistenza sanitaria stanno incorporando le migliori pratiche del settore di ospitalità per migliorare l’esperienza del paziente. La multidisciplinarità nel turismo ha abilitato nuovi settori di pratica professionale, includendo il settore sanitario. Nei servizi Albergo-Ospedale i concetti di alberghi tradizionali sono adattati alle esigenze delle istituzioni sanitarie. La struttura dei servizi alberghieri ospedalieri è stata applicata sia in ospedali pubblici e che in quelli privati, con una crescita significante nelle istituzioni sanitarie. Il presente studio offre un modello di ospitalità per fornire una prospettiva dell'infusione di assistenza sanitaria e benessere, basata sul paziente. Questo studio ha esaminato l'infusione dell'ospitalità e dell'assistenza sanitaria sottolineando il "paziente come ospite". Intuitivamente, l'ospitalità è un'attribuzione auspicabile per un'esperienza medica soddisfacente. Lo scopo di questa ricerca è di classificare i determinanti responsabili per amplificare la qualità percepita dai pazienti durante la loro permanenza. La ricerca contribuisce rispondendo alla domanda ‘come l'integrazione delle caratteristiche curative, nel concetto di ospitalità, potrebbe modernizzare la distribuzione dei servizi di assistenza e il cambio di mentalità dei pazienti e le loro aspettative’, trasformando il "paziente" in "ospite" e ridefinendo l'esperienza medica creando un ambiente terapeutico. Per questo scopo è stata analizzata la funzionalità dei servizi di ospitalità per il benessere dei pazienti, che è stato dimostrato con varietà di strutture come casi di studio. Dalla ricerca si può dimostrare l'importanza dei servizi di Albergo-Ospedale strutturati per offrire servizi di qualità ai pazienti, adattando i servizi alberghieri alla realtà e alle particolarità di un istituto sanitario. È stato dimostrato che i servizi di supporto offrivano comodità e benessere, aiutando pazienti e famiglie, sottolineando le aspettative iniziali del paziente ospedaliero e superando le loro aspettative. I risultati mostrano che la definizione operativa dell'ibridazione sanitaria, l'ospitalità e le strutture di servizio erano credibili e potrebbero dimostrare di essere un utile strumento di gestione per valutare i servizi e le aspettative dei pazienti.
