Olivetti was a symbol of the productive, cultural and social growth of Ivrea. Now a days the concept of a diffused working place is abandoned, the shell of those great buildings are an emblem of the glorious success in memory of the great architectural past based on an accurate planning. The high number of abandoned and detached buildings brought us to consider the “Red Bricks Factory” as a possible new start for a second architectural birth of the area. The renovation and re-use of these buildings is conceived on a temporal continuity with the industrial and productive Olivetti’s past. The purpose is to mend the urban area, following the community needs. Our specific aim is to give the identity back to this places, where architecture, urban planning, society and work life are coexisting together in one city. More over we want to create a new working environment made of people, companies and common growth purpose.
