Zernograd agricultural university and exhibition centre

The project is one of the possible answers for the problem of population decrease and shrinking process in the city Zernograd, Russia. The main task is to express the agricultural and scientific potential of the city that is formed by history. The project of a new campus of the Agrarian University with the exhibition complex is located in the middle of an abstract place, boundless fields. Minimally interfering and preserving the existing unique qualities of the landscape in this territory. Dormitories, research laboratories, institute, auditoriums, a library, private accommodation for invited specialists, greenhouses, grain elevators and a garage for agricultural machinery-all that the complex needs to function-have been designed. The creation of this center will activate the scientific potential of the city, attract the attention of specialists, scientists and students, attract investors, preserve the existing treasures of the city and territory. In this project, the landscape becomes something more than just an element of nature. It emphasizes cultural heritage, works as infrastructure and provides an area for research and cultivation of new crops for scientists from all over the world.
