The investment on the school is for the future of Italy, which is why it has included it as a priority objective. School buildings in Italy are a public structure and private sectors that need to be renewed and constantly evolving. Historic buildings are centrally located, but often no longer meet the required security features and technology. The buildings of the sixties have completed their life cycle and require special maintenance. All buildings no longer meet the features needed today. Therefore, in every city (even small) there is an option during the construction of municipal planning to reorganize school buildings. Choices towards sustainable buildings are still limited, even if legal obligations require the application of minimum measures such as those related to energy saving. Likewise, the consideration of disability (although required by law) is limited to the verification of accessibility, habitability and ability to visit people with impaired or compromised motor or sensory skills. Trying to take advantage of this unique opportunity for renewal of the school’s educational system, research seeks to look more deeply into activity as usual for blind and visually impaired people in schools. Blindness and visual dysfunction limit the freedom of the person not only outside, but also within buildings. Of course, there are important accessibility strategies for the blind due to the visual environment linked to the high visual control, to the reflection, and very critical criteria for the safety linked to the closing of the head and the objects that protrude from the walls without reaching the terrain that I am sure to consider. Otherwise, the tactile guide strips do not comply or do not include blind experience which results in a very limiting, non-natural and stigmatizing device. The same thing can be achieved in more integrated ways within the architecture that could have other more appealing qualities. For this reason, it is believed that building technology can play an important role in defining materials and equipment (sensors) that make architecture truly inclusive. Practical implementations of building technologies could give significant economic, social and environmental benefits. Therefore, the research on innovation in school inclusion we are conducting started with a comparative analysis from a review of the construction technology literature. The comparative analysis was carried out according to the following scheme: review of the literature to identify materials and processes potentially involved in the construction of construction schools, survey among constructors of building materials to verify the characteristics and market costs, identification of the indicators of performance to verify the sustainability and ability to respond to accessibility problems (based on tools and specialized studies), theoretical verification of the applicability to a case study (Primary and Secondary school of Saronno), conclusion. The critical role of inclusion and diversity in innovation and innovation requires multiple different perspectives to adopt an idea, perfect it and transform it into a constantly evolving technology. And it requires a diverse workforce to get to these different perspectives. In this sense, the research perspective is changing the cultural approach and introducing a training path that considers disability as a resource. Furthermore, a sustainable and inclusive building can only be a better building for everyone.

Abstract
The investment on the school is for the future of Italy, which is why it has included it as a priority objective. School buildings in Italy are a public structure and private sectors that need to be renewed and constantly evolving. Historic buildings are centrally located, but often no longer meet the required security features and technology. Trying to take advantage of this unique opportunity for renewal of the school’s educational system, research seeks to look more deeply into activity as usual for blind and visually impaired people in schools.
