HOME. Humanitarian and (un)ordinary machine for emergency

Home * is a home and not only. It is a home for man, that consider the emergency but still offer strength and dignity to living in spite of the limit situation. It is a Humanitarian interventation (Humanitarian), because architect has to solve the problem of living in any context. It is an ordinary house in an extraordinary environment (unOrdinary), which offers new possibilities, always keeping in mind the space and time dimensions. It is an emergency machine (Machine for Emergency), It is thought in every detail, each element responds to different needs and different purposes, everything is designed to be effective and efficient, from the method to design, build and live it, to its image and perception. The result is reached up with the careful study of the emergency context and housing and the scope to achieve a sustainable environmental, social and economic system that meets the needs of the man and the world that surround him.

Home* è una casa e non solo. Come dice il nome, è una casa per l’uomo, che tiene conto dell’emergenza ma che comunque restituisce forza e dignità all’abitare nonostante la situazione limite. È un intervento umanitario (Humanitarian), perché è compito dell’architetto risolvere il problema dell’abitare in qualunque contesto. È una casa ordinaria inserita in un’ambiente straordinario (unOrdinary), che offre di continuo nuove possibilità, tenendo sempre presente le dimensioni spazio e tempo. È una macchina per l’emergenza (Machine for Emergency) perché pensata in ogni suo dettaglio, ogni elemento risponde a diverse esigenze e a diversi scopi, tutto è pensato per essere efficace ed efficiente, dal metodo con cui progettarla, costruirla e viverla, alla sua immagine e percezione. Il risultato raggiunto ha richiesto l’ausilio di uno studio attento del contesto emergenziale ed abitativo, per ottenere un sistema sostenibile a livello ambientale, sociale ed economico che soddisfi le esigenze dell’ambiente e dell’uomo.
