The market today is rapidly expanding, and in order to survive in the competitive market, the companies should gain greater competitive advantage. As a result, in order to gain the competitive advantage, companies should get a better customer satisfaction rate that will allow them to keep their customers and attract new ones. The aim of this paper is to research the logistics operations and its role in the case company’s performance. The main goal is to illustrate the ongoing processes and then point out the pain points so as to better their logistics activities in order to increase the customer satisfaction of the company. The research outlines the information about the basic concepts of logistics operations, management of the logistics performance as well as distribution and warehouse stages of the logistics processes. Also, theory regarding the concept of e-commerce and start-up is reviewed due to the size of the case company. We conclude the report by highlighting the key points that are essential to have a successful logistics management process in place.
Il mercato oggi è in rapida espansione e, per sopravvivere nel mercato competitivo, le aziende dovrebbero ottenere un maggiore vantaggio competitivo. Di conseguenza, al fine di ottenere il vantaggio competitivo, le aziende dovrebbero ottenere un tasso di soddisfazione del cliente migliore che consentirà loro di mantenere i propri clienti e attrarne di nuovi. Lo scopo di questo lavoro è quello di ricercare le operazioni logistiche e il suo ruolo nelle prestazioni della compagnia del caso. L'obiettivo principale è quello di illustrare i processi in corso e quindi sottolineare i punti critici in modo da migliorare le loro attività logistiche al fine di aumentare la soddisfazione del cliente dell'azienda. La ricerca delinea le informazioni sui concetti di base delle operazioni logistiche, sulla gestione delle prestazioni logistiche e sulle fasi di distribuzione e magazzino dei processi logistici. Inoltre, la teoria riguardante il concetto di e-commerce e start-up viene rivista a causa delle dimensioni dell'azienda del caso. Concludiamo la relazione evidenziando i punti chiave che sono essenziali per avere un processo di gestione della logistica di successo.
