The aim of this thesis is to measure the social impact generated by an Italian Microcredit Institution, through the review of existing methods, and in particular of the method previously used by the organization. In this way, PerMicro, the Italian organisation specialized in microcredits, will be able to communicate their results to stakeholders, attract more investors, increase knowledge about their internal process and improve them. In order to achieve this goal, the social impact measurement methods available in literature have been analysed, focusing on the ones that adapt better to the microcredit sector. The method previously used by PerMicro was validated according to literature review and then was adapted and implemented for the measurement of the social impact for the years 2015-2016 for microcredits issued to families and enterprises. Results were analysed and aggregated to the ones obtained in previous years by PerMicro.
