The following report provides a detailed analysis of the Last mile delivery situation in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Firstly, going through the concept of Last Mile Delivery in general, its main characteristics and complexities, and its importance in the current transportation planning. We focused on the principal trends being developed around the world for a posterior comparison to the ones being developed in Argentina. This initial research step was carried out through the use of secondary sources, to set the bases for the posterior investigation executed through a series of interviews. Through them we found who are the main players in the industry and in what way they execute their activities, the logistics infrastructure available in the city and its main characteristics affecting distribution. After this, we centred on the actual execution of the Last Mile Delivery in the city, including: the regulations imposed by the government regarding the industry; the way in which the Supply Chain of the involved companies is composed; the implementation degree of information systems regarding Order Management, Warehousing, Routing and Tracking; the outsourcing of the workforce; the operating costs incurred; and the local trends regarding the industry. A general analysis was made regarding urban distribution and then deepened on the peculiarities of E-Commerce.
