Abstract
The guidelines, by their nature, do not identify or prescribe mandatory procedures, but constitute a set of recommendations developed systematically, based on continuously updated knowledge, and are drafted in order to make a behavior, with a high standard of quality, appropriate. desired. The text - which does not take into account the aspects related to museography in general and does not distinguish between permanent displays and temporary exhibitions - is not prescriptive and has not been conceived as "closed". Its objective, as well as providing a survey on the state of the art at an international level and some first general indications, is to offer a first structured framework that can expand in the near future, also collecting the contributions and suggestions deriving from experiences and experiments already realized on the Italian territory. The main objectives of this thesis are: to provide food for thought to the operators during the design phase. The objective of cultural accessibility must, in fact, be taken into consideration from the early stages of planning, because it is difficult to "correct the shot" during construction; provide a guide for the realization of the same devices, starting from the general indications, as an answer to the four fundamental questions: to whom, what, where, and how to communicate? followed by specific operational indications divided by type of device; provide indications for the preventive verification of the effectiveness of the equipment, useful to avoid incurring renovations (with the risk of not being able to achieve them due to lack of funding!). These first indications refer to the theme of cultural accessibility, understood in a broader and general sense, aiming, therefore, to "open the way" with a series of indications that, for their transversality, are considered valid for most of the places of culture and public, because they leverage the solution of needs and needs common to mankind. The text is centered on communication in museums, even though many of the indications can already be adopted for the equipment of other sites.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
